Working on a Tuesday and Thursday our practice respiratory nurse generally sees patients with asthma, COPD and other respiratory problems for review and to give help in managing their condition. She is happy to help anyone with respiratory problems.
The nurses perform many roles in the Primary Health Care Team they run various health promotion clinics including the taking of cervical smears and asthma checks. There are regular treatment room sessions and the nurses are available to both listen and advise in general about health care matters. There is usually a nurse available during surgery hours; if you need to see a practice nurse please ask at reception for an appointment. You will be asked for the type of treatment you require in order for the appropriate time to be given to your appointment.
